Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the StepGoals mobile application ("App") operated by StepGoals ("we," "our," or "us").
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using StepGoals, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
StepGoals is a fitness tracking application that helps you monitor your daily step count, build walking streaks, and track your progress over time. The App integrates with Apple HealthKit to read your health and fitness data.
3. Account and Access
StepGoals does not require you to create an account. The App uses data stored locally on your device and, if you subscribe to Pro features, your subscription is managed through your Apple ID.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
4.1 StepGoals Pro
StepGoals offers optional paid subscription plans ("StepGoals Pro") that provide access to additional features. Subscription options may include:
- Monthly subscription
- Annual subscription
- Lifetime purchase
4.2 Billing
All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. By subscribing, you agree to Apple's terms of service and payment policies. Prices are displayed in your local currency and may vary by region.
4.3 Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.
4.4 Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy. We cannot process refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use StepGoals only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
- Use the App for any fraudulent or illegal purpose
6. Health Disclaimer
StepGoals is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.
The App provides general fitness tracking information for personal wellness purposes only. The step counts, calories, and other metrics displayed are estimates and may not be completely accurate.
Before starting any exercise program or making changes to your physical activity level, consult with a qualified healthcare provider. Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information provided by the App.
7. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, content, and code, is owned by StepGoals and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
8. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including Apple HealthKit, Firebase, and RevenueCat. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable
- Any errors in the App will be corrected
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL STEPGOALS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the App
- Any unauthorized access to or use of your data
- Any errors or omissions in the App's content or functionality
- Any other matter relating to the App
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StepGoals and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
